I write for Profane Existence, and I've been involved with PE as a contributor or collective member since issue #1 (yes, way back in 1989!).

I am currently producing/publishing The Local Voice newspaper which comes out every two weeks in Oxford, Mississippi!

In addition to my band The Cooters, I also have several side-project bands including Megacooter, Tom Queyja, Max Hipp, and Brad Boatright.

I used to play in the bands... The Local Toughs (1996), Grisham's Army (1994-1995), Backwoods Mississippi Anarchy Orchestra (1992), Pissed (1991-1992), Dead Fish (1987-1989), Speed (1988), Blackout (1987), and Assault (1986).

I used to produce the 'zines... Profane Existence, Assault With Intent to Free, The Oxford American, Living Blues, 8x12, The Life and Times, Rebel Yell... Won a National Magazine Award in 1999 for co-producing The Oxford American Southern Music magazine.
