A new limerick book related to the Trump administration will soon release courtesy of PETE INC., EconoPress, and Unknown Controller Recorsd.
PETE INC. is a Bay Area, CA artist responsible for several notable pieces, including cover art and t-shirts for Neurosis, Econochrist, Grinch, and more. He now has a new collection of 100 limericks that grew out of responding to the Trump presidency on a daily basis.
The book is titled Tales from Nantucket and collects more than 100 illustrated, rhyming works based on "a visceral reaction to the horrors of America in the age of Trump."
“How do you cope when your president is an ignorant, shallow, stupid, cruel pathological liar? You write dirty limericks," Pete says, explaining the inspiration. "I had never written any poetry before. It just kind of happened. He’s such a piece of shit and he put so much anger and outrage in me and limericks are what came out. Reagan gave me a mohawk. Trump gave me poetry. I made my first post about a year into his idiot’s reign of terror and after that they just kind of accumulated. By the time I had about 60, people started telling me I should make a book so that’s what I did."
