East Side Junk started in the summer of 2005 with Matt playing drums and Mada on Bass. We were just playing around with the idea of having a band at that time and had close friends play guitar and jam with us. In Spring of 2006 Mada and Matt decided to get serious about the band and asked a friend, Jarrod to play guitar for us full time. We practiced very little and only messed with alot of cover songs. We weren't working well with Jarrod as our guitarist and we didn't really have a singer either. We werent even a band really.
In the Summer time of 2006 we asked our friends Soap and Colin to play with us. We only practiced a few times and they always sucked. So we were quick to spilt from them. Mada and Matt were back to just playing with neighborhood friends and not trying to be serious. One day we got the idea to ask Jarrod to play for us again but we really got serious this time and actualy got some stuff recorded in the Summer of 2006. Shortly after that Mada was arrested and East Side Junk split up for a year.
In the Summer of 2007 East Side Junk got back togethor with Mada on Bass, Matt on Drums, Brian on Vox, and Kyle on Guitar. Kyle wasnt working well with the band cos he couldnt make it to practice as often as we would have liked. So one day in the Summer of 2007 an old time friend of Mada and Brian's moved back to Virginia from Florida. And thats when Jo became our Guitarist. The current line up is Jo on Guitar, Mada on Bass, Brian on Vox, and Matt on Drums. We have recorded a 3 song demo. And we are working on our frist LP. Hopfully to be released in the next few months. Once more information is provided then we will post it on our upcoming shows section. For now, Take Care and Enjoy!
